25th Anniversary of The Glacier Museum, Norway - Sarner News
We have recently attended the 25th anniversary of the opening of the Glacier Museum in Norway.
It is also 25 years since we installed our first exhibit, a glacier ice cave which is still there today.
June 2016 represented the 25th anniversary of when Her Majesty Queen Sonja opened the doors to the Norwegian Glacier Museum, and since then 1.42 million guests have paid a visit. The Trust receives no funding so the only income they receive is from ticket sales generated from visitors to the Museum.
The Museum in Fjaerland has had 25 years of continuous operation and is perhaps the most successful visitor attraction in the country.
