Vikinglandet - Tusenfryd Park (Oslo, Norway)
Sarner was approached by Tusenfryd, the largest theme park in Norway located just outside Oslo, to design and deliver a unique custom built ride that would appeal to families and teenagers alike.
Vikinglandet is based on the story of Liev Erickson's journey across the Atlantic. The ride is housed inside a cave that was specifically blasted for the attraction. Visitors enter the cave through a tunnel where they discover a full scale Viking longship. The 200 seater simulator takes visitors through storms, attacks by pirates, a sea monster, battleships and Gods until they eventually reach the Americas.
Sarner utilised a range of mechanical, projection and special effects to create a unique ride that has lasted the test of time.
