At the RAF Museum in London, the curators were looking for ways to encourage visitors to take a closer look at their static displays which featured original Battle of Britain aircraft. In response to this requirement, Sarner designed an exhibit that married together a theatricality and audio-visual aids whilst also giving due prominence to the original artefacts.
Within the exhibition,’Our Finest Hour’, a 14 minute dramatic reenactment of the Battle of Britain played out just as it did in the skies above southern England during the summer of 1940.
There can be no greater praise for the Battle of Britain exhibition than from the veterans themselves who attended the press opening and were captivated and moved by the whole exhibition.
Keith Blumire, Marketing Manager at the Museum explained, “Sarner’s presentation was by far the most dramatic and theatrical. It captivated our imagination whilst simultaneously providing a clear explanation of how the project would evolve and be managed. We were also impressed that they challenged our brief, taking their solutions one step further. As a result, we were not only sold on the creative ideas, but also felt confident to invest in these exciting and progressive concepts, with the full support of our veterans.”
