Client's brief

The Client commissioned Sarner to design and deliver a powerful interactive experience that visitors will want to visit time and time again. The entrance architecture should draw the visitor in to the building, creating an impression of entering a portal to a new world of glittering, colourful and dynamic experiences.

Features

Go-cart racing, bowling, multiplex cinema, sports bar and a suspended roller coaster are just a small selection of the many visitor attractions on offer.

Once inside, the visitors walk into the retail themed street which opens out into the town square - a central water feature and stream dramatically runs through. Restaurants, bars and cafes surround the square which also has a live performing stage. The buildings are two level structures which can be entered from the first floor level. Day/Night sky effects create wonderful moods for the visitors. The nightclub can also be entered from this area.
alt
The visitors enter The Lost City zone through the arch in town square, ahead a dramatic waterfall cascades down a rock outcrop. The Lost City brings to life a colouful rainforest using full spectrum digital lighting. The two level restaurant has a jungle theme, with a tropical light show every 30 minutes. This is very much a family restaurant with exciting surprises for everyone, exotic fish swim in large tanks, animals appear through the undergrowth. The upper level of the restaurant has views across the pirate adventure area where parents can keep an eye on rampaging children.
alt
The Pirate Adventure zone appeals to all ages, an interactive play zone with softball shooters set in a smugglers cove setting. A pirate ship dominates the scene with various activities set around, the adventure play zone will cater for all ages, with a separate junior soft play area for the younger visitors.
alt
Another children's area is set within a fairytale village and enchanted forest and contains rides, bouncy castles, interactive games and an area for live performance where street entertainers can enthral the children. The design of the theming is based on Ukrainian fairy stories. Food and retail outlets surround the area.

The Haunted House and Dungeon attraction combines theatre style production techniques with live actors. After a pre-show visitors are guided through the haunted house, sections become mazes as the visitor tries to find the way out. The concept is a fun dynamic experience that appeals to a wide visitor profile, employing special audio visual and theatre techniques for a truly memorable experience.
