SECRET RIVERS AT THE MUSEUM OF LONDON DOCKLANDS
Sarner have had the privilege to work with the Museum of London Docklands on the design of their summer 2019 exhibition, Secret Rivers.
For centuries Londoners have existed besides a series of rivers, brooks and waterways, which have shaped the city and the people within it. Some are visible, others lie hidden beneath modern streets and pavements, but all hold secret histories that this exhibition will uncover.
The exhibition will draw from the museum’s collection of archaeological artefacts, displayed alongside art, photography and film to create an evocative journey that will intrigue, surprise and immerse the visitor in the history and life of the rivers.
Using a variety of interpretative techniques throughout 7 sections the visitor will encounter historical and contemporary object displays alongside interactive exhibits that will plunge them under the streets of London to reveal the secrets these hidden waterways.
Sarner’s Designer, Rebecca Hayward says: “It has been a pleasure to work with the team at the Museum of London Docklands to create an exciting exhibition that encourages discovery and insight to London’s secret rivers and waterways”
Secret Rivers is a free exhibition running at the Museum of London Docklands, from 24 May to 27 October this year.
