30th anniversary of the Glacier Museum
Sarner was invited to join Her Majesty Queen Sonja of Norway, the Museum Directors and invited guests to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Norsk BreMuseum at the foot of the Jostedalsbreen glacier in Fjærland.
The Norwegian Glacier Museum spreads knowledge about glaciers and climate – and it is beautifully located in the heart of the Fjærlandsfjord, with the Jostedalsbreen glacier in the background. The Jostedalsbreen glacier is 474 square kilometers in size, and thus the largest glacier on the European mainland.
This was a very special day for Sarner as Ross Magri, Sarner’s MD was also present during the construction of the museum over 30 years ago, to deliver our first project for the Norsk BreMuseum, a walkthrough Glacier Experience, that continues to attract visitors to this day.
That special relationship has stood the test of time, having delivered a number of upgrades spread over the last 30 years, Sarner continues to work very closely with the Directors and team of the Norsk BreMuseum to deliver new and more exciting projects.
