Odyssey Malta Recognised in the Park World Excellence Awards 2025

We are proud to share that Odyssey Malta has been shortlisted in the Park World Excellence Awards 2025, one of the most prestigious global celebrations of achievement and innovation in the attractions industry.

Flying Theatre

At the heart of Odyssey’s success lies the partnership between Sarner International and Simtec Systems. By uniting Sarner’s world-class creative design with Simtec’s pioneering flying theatre technology, the project has been elevated into an unforgettable experience - one that combines cultural storytelling with cutting-edge immersive entertainment.

This recognition marks a milestone for Odyssey Malta, a landmark immersive visitor attraction within the iconic Mercury Towers development, designed by the late Zaha Hadid. Commissioned by Mercury Contracting Projects Ltd, the attraction takes audiences on a spectacular journey through Malta’s rich cultural heritage - blending powerful storytelling with state-of-the-art theatre technology, a multisensory dark walk, and a breathtaking flying theatre finale.

The Park World Excellence Awards are widely regarded as a benchmark for global industry excellence. To be recognised among the leading innovators is both an honour and a testament to the creativity, technical expertise, and dedication of everyone who worked tirelessly to bring Odyssey Malta to life.

The winners of the Park World Excellence Awards 2025 will be announced later this year, celebrating the most outstanding projects in the attractions industry.

“We are thrilled that Odyssey Malta has been recognised in the Park World Excellence Awards 2025. This project represents the very best of what can be achieved when creativity and technology come together. The recognition is a true honour and reflects the vision of our client, together with the dedication and commitment to innovation shown by the Sarner and Simtec teams. Together, we’ve created an attraction that celebrates Malta’s heritage in a way that will inspire visitors for years to come.”
